Abstract :

The Japanese Occupation in Pahang followed many of the policies adopted elsewhere in the Malay Peninsula. This article illustrates details about everyday life during the Occupation period, revealing less studied aspects of the wartime years, including Japanese plans for the state, local administration, food supplies, health, ceremonial occasions, and the wartime experience of local residents.
